- In 42회 of 아름다운 유혹, scene 3, 3:37, 세희 and 재혁 go ice skating at Lotte World. 세희 has obviously never been ice skating before, and eventually she falls and tears up her suit jacket. If one tears one’s clothes while skating, there’s perhaps no better place to be than Lotte World. To the accompaniment of “Pretty Woman,” 재혁 fixes her up with some new clothes (undoubtedly, no one thought that “Pretty Woman” wasn’t the best choice for this sequence, since 세희’s line of work is not the same as that of the Julia Roberts movie character. Of course, the song predates the Julia Roberts movie character, but if you’re going to have a sequence showing a man with money buying a woman nice clothes, what are people supposed to think?).
And where were the white gloves? When I went skating at Lotte World, everyone had to wear white gloves.
- The script from 42회 includes a scene in which 나경 learns that it is 세희 who has replaced 미라 in 재혁’s affections. I was looking forward to seeing this scene, since the script was easy to follow, but it wasn’t in 42회. It’s the kind of thing that’s bound to show up later, since it was clear that some evil wheels began to turn in 나경’s mind.
- That table in 금실’s office (19:25) looks just like the one in the office of the director of the language institute for which I worked, covered in green felt and topped with glass. The furniture is a lot like his, too. Ah, memories.
