In my search for A Korean Grammar on Semantic-Pragmatic Principles, I have learned the meaning of 절판.

“죄송합니다. 이 책은 절판 되었습니다.”

But I’m still hoping to find a copy.

Speaking of EBS, I’ve meant for a while to highlight Hello! 안녕하세요. Hello! 안녕하세요 is hosted by 장은아 (formerly of 한국어로 말합시다) and Richard Harris (author of Roadmap to Korean and Faces of Korea: The Foreign Experience in the Land of the Morning Calm). 장은아 speaks only in Korean, and Richard provides commentary in English.

Korean television

I’ve been casting about for something new (and free) to watch on Korean television. KBS has a couple of historical dramas that look interesting, but to see all of the episodes I’d have to watch a bunch in a tiny window, because the earlier episodes are no longer available at higher speeds. A new contemporary drama started this week, but after watching the first episode I couldn’t take anymore.
