세희 begins to experience serious abdominal pain, and in her delirium she whispers “재혁씨.” 인찬 finally puts his own feelings for 세희 aside and runs off to the airport, where 재혁 is about to leave to study in America. He catches up to 재혁 just before he is about to pass through the final door.
인찬: 세희.. 지금 최실장님 아일 가졌어요.
재혁: 뭐라구요?
인찬 enunciates this time:
인찬:세희.. 임신했다구요!
재혁 turns and runs to the taxi line.
세희’s pregnant.
I know this because I’m guessing, not because I know any of the words associated with pregnancy. Over the last few episodes, it’s become clear that something big is up, and if it’s not that, I will have to eat a big slice of humble pie.
At some point, 세희 tells 정희, but I had only a vague sense in that conversation. However, 세희’s morning sickness was a big clue.
In 71회, 인찬 says (세희 has moved in with 인찬 since 정희 left home) (8:50):
인찬: 너 혹시 임신이라도 했단 거야?
세희: .... 그래… 나… 임신이래.
임신: pregnancy.
For whatever reason, 정희 (세희’s older sister) tells 금실 (재혁’s mother) that 세희 is pregnant (25:25):
정희: .... 저, 사실은 ...우리 세희가 최실장 아이를 가졌어요.
금실: ... 네?...뭐, 뭐라구요?
사실: a fact; a reality; actuality; truth.
아이: a child.
The personal project isn’t finished, but it’s gotten a good start. Studying will be light over the next few weeks as I finish it. Then I plan to take another break to get another project started.
Although I didn’t crack a book, I did keep up with 아름다운 유혹. No way I was going to get behind.

The State Department characterizes the Arabic tongue as a Level Four language, on a difficulty scale of one to four, the same as Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Scholars say it takes roughly twice as long to reach proficiency in Arabic as it does Spanish or French.
Makes me feel good to know that I’m doing something difficult.
